This was a pretty popular show and it seemed that everyone had quite a lot to say. Since it ended up being an hour and 45 minutes long, the best bet was to split the episode into two so that you could listen to us in smaller, more manageable portions. This is part 1 of 2. Part 1 concludes with the host’s stories, where part 2 will pick up with your stories, what if questions and the contest winner announcement.
Discussion Topic : Embarrassing Moments (Hosts Only) Tonight we shared some rather embarrassing moments including: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, pee pee pants, coffee down the dress and visiting a porn shop. Now these are just a few gems and you’ll want to hear the rest.. trust us, you do.
So everyone is harassing me about not blogging, so here I am to tell you that since I do the show notes, I do in fact blog on here. And yeah, maybe someday I’ll write something real.

Halloween Past During our Halloween show, I talked about one of my favorite traditions. That tradition is dressing up with my son to take him trick-or-treating. This year we went as Supergirl and Spiderman. We had a blast. Two years ago we did super heroes as well (Dash and Edna [not a super hero, I know] from the Incredibles movie) which I included the mini-poster of in the pictures below.

Little Shop of Horrors If you have listened to episode 11 where we reviewed the movie-musical Little Shop of Horrors, you would know that I got to go and see the stage version a couple of days later. After the show, my son and I were allowed to go up on the stage to check out the set and the final version of Audrey II. I’m so glad that I brought my camera with because I got pictures.
The funniest part of that whole scenario was that my son was suddenly very scared of the plant. You see, the stage and the movie versions are different. On stage the plant wins and everyone dies. That’s not exactly how things work out in the movie. My son was more than a little surprised and scared of Audrey II when we got up on stage. I had to drag him close enough to this monstrosity and show him how it was simply a giant, stuffed animal. Finally he got close enough with me to have someone snap a picture. He loved the musical and even got to meet some of the actors afterwards. The boy was so awe-struck that he couldn’t say anything or even look them in the face. When we got out to the car he asked me how come I didn’t get their autographs for him. I guess I should have known!

Movie Review
Tonight we finally discussed Kim’s movie pick Little Shop of Horrors (1986 version) staring; Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and Steve Martin.
In this movie-musical, Rick Moranis plays the geeky character of Seymour Krelborn, who works in a rundown flower shop on Skid Row. While his boss, Mr. Mushnik bemoans the lack of business, Seymour seeks a way of bringing the shop — and himself — fame and fortune. He purchases a strange plant from an oriental street vendor, naming the plant after his girlfriend Audrey. Gradually, Seymour learns to his horror that “Audrey II” craves blood and flesh. With each of Audrey II’s “FEEED MEEE”s, Seymour must scare up human food to satisfy the plant’s appetite.
We had a good discussion where some of us were pansies and others made fun of the pansies, but what else is new? As per usual we rated it using our Buy It, Rent It, Catch It On TV or Skip It. Want to find out who the pansy is, you’ll have to listen for yourself.
What If?
1: If you could be invisible for a day what would you do and why?
2. What if you saw someone that you really, truly hated get murdered? What would you do?

There has been a recent development in the world of GNI and that’s been a change of the voicemail number. Unfortunately, since you didn’t call in and leave us a message in the past month, our phone number has expired and the service has already given it away to someone else.
So, if you have called in any voice feedback to the telephone number containing 666 within the past two weeks, it’s gone the way of the devil. Some other person is bogarting that feedback right now. We’d apologize for this, but it’s really all your fault..
We want you to forget about the 666 phone number and leave us a voicemail message by calling 206-203-4308. Maybe a voicemail message sooner rather than later would help us out!
Hello everyone. *GASP* I just noticed that I have completely been neglecting the blogosphere. I won’t bore you with tales of woe and sickness (SICK TWICE IN ONE MONTH???). Let’s just say it has been an icky month since we last talked. I thought I would tell you a little bit more about something totally random. I have a flipper. No, seriously. See… on the back of my foot, above my heel, I have a protruding bone. There should be no bone there. Most people don’t have a protruding bone there. It is nothing normal like a bone spur, nope had it since I was born. My sister has it too. We call it our flippers. We figure that we are just not as evolved as the average bird. According to some evolutionary texts, we have all evolved from sea organisms and eventually lost our flippers… we just are not as evolved as the average joe. In further support of this issue is that I had an abnormally long appendix when it was taken out. Monkey also have long appendixes. I guess I should be starring on the show cavemen as their slightly less evolved cousin.
Wow, that was some random info about me if ever there was any. Let’s see what other random things I can tell you about. I am addicted to Coke Zero and live in fear that it will go the way New Coke. I hate lettuce. I find it to be a crunchy mass of watery yuckiness. It just ruins all of the food they try to stick it in… like a perfectly good taco. I am a HUGE fan of Olivia Newton John. I used to watch Olivia Live on video (yes VHS) everyday when I got home from school, starting at about age six. I have seen her in concert 4 times. I am a dork like that. It takes me 7 minutes from the time my feet hit the floor in the morning until the time that I start my car. I am low maintenance like that. I snore when I am really tired. When I was twelve I tried to cut my own bangs and they were uneven so I chopped them off at the root (not suggested). I still hate pants. I live in flip flops. I hate heels. Wint-O-Green lifesavers are the best.
I am really tired and it is only 9:15. I should stop babbling now.
Jaime
PS The above evolutionary facts are LOOSELY based on facts that I hardly remember. Don’t even think about using this post as a source for your next science report unless it is about what sleep deprivation and too many Dora videos does to grown women!
Random listener shout out to KIM who called in to Manic Mommies for us. That rocked. It was like rock stars dedicating a song to us.
Anyone else watching Dancing with the stars notice that watching Jane Seymore tackle latin dances is much like drinking moonshine out of a tea set? Just does not match.
