Participating LIVE
Join us as we record the podcast live every other week at 9pm ET. You can type to other listeners and/or call in and become a part of the show. We would love it if you’d join us.
What? You think calling in is going to make you pee a bit from nerves? Don’t worry, calling into the show simply puts you into the listener queue. You won’t be on the show unless you tell us you that have something to add to the discussion.
To simply call in from your phone:

Press: 1# (or enter your pin# if you’re a TalkShoe member already)
If you’re interested in interacting with the hosts along with the listeners via your computer, click on the graphic below to go directly to the site that we broadcast from.
You don’t have to have an account to participate, although to identify yourself beyond the ID of “guest” you might want to sign up for one (it’s free). Regardless of if you have an account or not, all you have to do is simply click Join In when you get to the page. That will launch the web client where you can hear us and text chat with other live listeners. A download is not required.
Some say that the web client is a wee (Wii!) bit unstable as compared to TalkShoe Pro. TalkShoe Pro is free but requires that you download and install the client. It’s definitely a different experience in text chatting. This method does require that you have a registered TalkShoe ID which is free.
There are lots of ways to participate. We’re trying to make the show as accessible as possible. Let’s outline a few more options. You can be on the phone while at your computer. You can be at your computer and using your computer’s microphone (only through TalkShoe Pro by using the ShoePhone button on the bottom right of the client). If you choose that method and plan to participate vocally in the show, headphones will be a necessity otherwise audio feedback will occur. Want to learn how to adjust your microphone settings?
